Pam Baer Efforts To Help The Vulnerable In The Community

Pam Baer is a businesswoman, a philanthropist, and a community worker involved in various causes to give back to the community. One of the most notable causes she has been involved in is the public healthcare projects, specifically mental and behavioral well-being. She mainly focuses on helping the most vulnerable community by funding campaigns, events, and strategies to assist in the course.

The pandemic has brought with it several pertinent issues that require public health support more than ever. The most outstanding community support offered by Pamela Baer recently is the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) that has helped many people, especially during the pandemic. Pam continues supporting the foundation and ensures they reach out to as many people as possible.

ZSFG mainly targets the homeless, those living in adverse poverty, people in the community of color, new immigrants, and those who cannot afford insurance. They focus mainly on the social-economic circumstance that directly affects an individual’s general health and wellness. Today mental-related issues are widespread. When the pandemic struck the world, things got even more challenging for the vulnerable members of the community.

Under Pam Baer, San Francisco General Hospital Foundation aims to offer support and funding excellence in innovations and patient care at the ZSFG to ensure health equity and affordable access to everyone in the community. They also provide a 24/7 Psychiatric Emergency Service and offer their services to over 8000 emergency services annually.

Pam Baer also helped create the Transform Mental & Behavioral Health Fund to support mental health programs. They have raised over five million dollars since they established the foundation in 2018. The foundation ensures access to health care and de-stigmatizes the issues associated with mental health. The project is now in its second phase, and it’s currently taking shape, especially after the hardship brought about by the pandemic. Go here for additional information.
